It's only been a few weeks since we fell in love with Mountain Dew's new KFC collaboration "Sweet Lightning," but now, it turns out another Dew flavor has been out here winning hearts and souls over the past few months. Meet Mountain Dew Cyclone, people.

OK, I know we're a little late to the game here and that all of you cool kids probably already knew that the Cyclone has been exclusively available at Speedway convenience stores since April. But now that more than a few weeks have gone by, we're here to give you an honest review of what folks are saying about the Dew's newest citrus punch flavor.

So far, we've seen mostly love for the new drink. One Instagram user commented, "I could go for about 15 of them." Meanwhile, a reviewer on YouTube went into his experience hoping that the Cyclone would give him "a whirlwind of excitement in [his] mouth." Based on his reaction, we're gonna guess that's exactly what it did.

On flip side, there are definitely customers who aren't feeling the Cyclone, and then there are those who are demanding for a return of older flavors like Code Red and Pitch Black. One Twitter user responded to Speedway's tweet asking what people thought about the drink with a simple "yes, it's gross." Another commented: "I've tried it and I'm not a fan....I miss code red in your stores." To each his own, I guess.

In terms of flavor and color, it sounds like the Cyclone is definitely not your traditional fruit punch. The maroon color and the actual taste have given people the impression that there are fruity elements to this drink. There are reportedly strong hints of passion fruit, pomegranate, and even plum. I know that sounds absolutely insane, but we're kind of intrigued...might have to go take a road trip for this one.
