By now, we've all watched Taylor Swift's "You Need To Calm Down" music video approximately 1,483 times and replayed Antoni Porowski's starring moment about 500 more. But as it happens, the role was a long time coming for the Fab Five member. He was *almost* cast in Swift's 2014 "Blank Space" vid.

While attending the Variety and Mercedes-Benz Power of Pride event in NYC, Porowski revealed the "fun fact" to Entertainment Tonight.

"Remember the music video for 'Blank Space?'" he said. "I auditioned for that when I was a waiter, and I got called back twice, and it was between me and two other guys in the audition. I had to pretend like I was running away from the lion in the green screen." The self-proclaimed Swiftie told her about it, too.

And while she may have "ended up changing the direction" and not casting the Queer Eye star, I'd say it worked out pretty well for Antoni. I mean, he did eventually get his on-camera moment with the queen herself: a "Queer Eye-approved" tea party. "It was so much fun," he continued. "Everything was so carefully curated, like it was fine English bone China with the porcelain that we were drinking from. There was a little honey bear from the 1930s that was solid glass to use to sweeten our teas. Like every single little thing."

Porowski loved filming, but he was also pretty psyched when the video dropped—and not just to see himself. "She texted it and I saw the video and I freaked out and I thought it was so cool 'cause I didn't even know everybody else who was in it," he commented on the celeb cameos, including that Katy Perry reunion. "Just to see all these wonderful LGBTQIA+ personalities and allies who were featured in the video was, like, she doesn't have to do that and she does. And I really respect that."

Okay, time to go watch for the 1,484th time!
