Tensions were HIGH on last night's episode of MasterChef. The fourth episode of season 10 saw the group's first team challenge and things didn't exactly go smoothly. The contestants were split into two groups and tasked with preparing all the food for a MasterChef 10th anniversary party. More than 100 VIPs and former MasterChef contestants were invited, which naturally raised the stakes. As Gordon Ramsay ever-so-lovingly put it: "Do NOT ruin our party."
Unfortunately, there were many a mistake from both teams. Charred burger buns, bland turkey burgers, grills that weren't turned on...it was a hot mess, to say the least. And while both teams got the fish right (score!), the meat and poultry caused some problems.
In the rush to get food out to the guests, undercooked chicken was brought back to the chefs. This led to an epic—and warranted, honestly—scolding from Ramsay: "BIGGEST SEASON EVER AND MOST F*CKING SALMONELLA EVER." Yikes.
While that would be worrisome enough—salmonella is no joke—undercooked burgers came out next. Anddd in comes more yelling: "Raw chicken then raw burgers?! Season 10, season f*cking salmonella."
Luckily, there was also lots of other (actually edible) food to be had, it may have just taken a little longer than expected to get there. Watch some of the freakout in the video above and watch the full episode to see allll the party drama unfold, including Sam calling Noah the teacher that everyone hates, lol.
Longtime MasterChef fans will also get to see some of their favorite past contestants—Courtney, the winner of season five, Tommy from season six, and Brandi from season seven were among the former contestants who came to the party.
