Apparently, our dear pals Ben and Jerry have been holding out on us. They don't just make ice cream (and those snackable little cookie dough bites). Their Vermont-based factory is also selling three types of baking mix: Chunky Monkey Banana Bread, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bread, and Chocolate Fudge Brownie Bread.
Food Instagrammer @ThreeSnackateers posted the find to social media earlier this week, and naturally, fans freaked—myself included, as you may have noticed. "Did you know Ben & Jerry's has dessert mixes??" they wrote on IG. NO, no we didn't, Snackateers!!!!
Let's chat about 'em, shall we? Like I mentioned above, it's a factory exclusive, and that's likely why we haven't heard too much about the mixes. Though I have yet to try it, I'm already feeling pretty partial to the Chunky Monkey Banana Bread. It's sourced with non-GMO ingredients like walnuts and fudge and is available for $14.
The other two, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Chocolate Fudge Brownie sound pretty great themselves. According to the package, the Cookie Dough includes vanilla bread and dark chocolate chunks.
However, I'm slightly confused by the latter because it's labeled as "chocolate fudge brownie mix stuffed with chocolate fudge brownie chunks." If you add brownie chunks to the same brownie mix...isn't it just one big brownie? Am I missing something? Can I get some clarification here?
Also @ Ben & Jerry's, the only way I'll forgive and forget this transgression is if you release the baking mixes everywhere. Ball's in your court.
