If you haven't already heard, today is a very, very important holiday: National Biscuit Day. To celebrate, Red Lobster is giving out insulated fanny packs, because where else would we store our leftover Cheddar Bay Biscuits? Um, LOL, if you think we're kidding. This is serious business.
And while we'd happily drop our own cash on the genius accessory, it's not actually for sale. You're gonna have to enter the sweepstakes if you want to get your hands on one. "The insulated fanny pack is where fashion meets flavor...keeping warm Cheddary Bay Biscuits at arm's length or close to the heart, making it easy to enjoy on-the-go wherever the craving hits," the brand wrote in a statement. "Only a limited number are available through the #CBBSweepstakes, so the one-of-a-kind accessory won't be around for long!"
Now for the important deets. Here's how to apply: You just have to tweet at @RedLobster and share what you love most about their beloved biscuits. Though, we do foresee a problem with having to sum that up in 280 characters or less. The sweepstakes will run through May 14 (today! National biscuit day!) and June 4.
They're also not the only company celebrating this special day. Popeyes is baking "Love That" biscuits. "For more than 40 years, our biscuits have been celebrated as a very beloved menu item," head chef Amy Alarcon said in a statement. "With our buttermilk biscuits at the heart of our menu, it only made sense to celebrate with heart-shaped biscuits on National Biscuit Day." All I have say to that: Thank you, thank you, thank YOU!
