The market is overflowing with innovative everything but the bagel-esque products. You've got donuts, cashews, fish, popcorn—you name it. At this point, the OG Trader Joe's seasoning is old hat (but also, still outrageously delicious). Especially since now there's an even better butter version of the flavor favorite, and the spreading possibilities are endless.
The Bennett's Butter recipe lists honey, lemon juice, scallions, onions, garlic, white sesame seeds, black sesame seeds, poppy seeds, and sea salt as ingredients, and it's all kinds of perfection. While single containers are only available at New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut-based retailers, Kings Food Markets and Balducci's Food Lover's Market, the company is selling six packs online for $40. Those ones available for shipment nationwide, so you can get the goods no matter where you are.
The brand, which boasts a product "you can eat by the spoon," also carries Roasted Garlic and Herb, Cinnamon and Brown Sugar, Mushroom, Blueberry, and Sriracha Jalapeño Butter flavors. And yep, they all sound pretty fantastic. If you're down for a taste test, "Chef Austin's Faves"—a variety pack that includes two of each of the Sriracha Jalapeño, Mushroom, and Roasted Garlic and Herb flavors—is currently on sale for $35.
However, you can always go the more traditional route, and you know, just season your own butter. In April, CVS announced they would join in on the craze and begin selling their own version of the Trader Joe's favorite. Back in September, Costco introduced JUMBO containers of seasoning for topping "bagels and more."
