When the Cake Boss himself wants your dessert in his ultra-famous bakery, you know you're doing something right. For bakers competing on Buddy Valastro's new Food Network show, that's exactly the goal. Bake You Rich, which premieres this Sunday, April 14, will give hardworking bakers a chance to put their treats on blast to the world—and give viewers the ability to actually taste the delicious foods they see on TV right after they see them. Sounds like a win-win to me. Here's everything you need to know about Buddy's upcoming show.
What's the premise?
Each episode, bakers will compete in three rounds of challenges testing their baking and business skills. The winner from each episode will earn a spot in the Cake Boss' kitchen itself. Immediately following each episode, the winner's treats will be available to buy on the Carlo's Bakery website.
Who are the judges?
Buddy, obviously, plus a rotating panel of judges that includes Buddy's wife Lisa, Cake Boss alum Chad Durkin, photographer Erin McGinn, and Vincent Tubito, the CFO of Buddy's brands.
Who is competing?
Each episode, four bakers will compete for the grand prize. Sunday's premiere features bakers from Delray Beach, FL; Huntington, NY; Baltimore, MD; and Ridgewood, NY. All four own their own bake shop in their respective locations.
When does it air?
The four-episode series starts Sunday, April 14 at 10pm ET/PT on Food Network. It premieres right after the finale of another Buddy Valastro show, Buddy vs. Duff.
