Jeff Bezos finalized his divorce last week just one day before his alleged mistress Lauren Sanchez filed for hers. But instead of celebrating by say, getting drunk, he honored the milestone with Cereal Milk soft serve. Because Milk Bar is like therapy, I guess.
The mega-rich Amazon founder, whose now-ex wife MacKenzie walked away with a cool $35 billion in the split, solidified his single status April 4. In January, the couple announced their separation in a joint statement posted to Twitter. "After a long period of loving exploration and trial separation, we have decided to divorce and continue our shared lives as friends," it read. However, soon after, the National Enquirer released a series of "sleazy text messages" and "a cache of lewd selfies" reportedly sent from Bezos to Sanchez.
Anyway, Bezos was spotted in NYC Saturday with a bodyguard and his children in tow for a trip the East Village Milk Bar location. "Jeff was having a low-key night with his kids," a fellow patron told Page Six: "He ordered the classic cereal milk ice cream. No one else seemed to notice him while he and his kids waited quietly in line."
The same eyewitness reports Bezos grabbed his order and bolted. Maybe was avoiding unwanted attention or maybe he was off to sulk in peace over his dwindling fortune. To be fair, he's still got billions and billions (and billions) of dollars. Good thing, too. Milk Bar ain't cheap.
