Mars Wrigley, aka the folks responsible for M&M's, Twix, Snickers, and so many more candy aisle faves, is hiring interns, and the gig is a dream. The eight to 12 week program is not only fully paid, but also comes with a signing bonus of one year's worth of candy.
The confectionary is on the hunt for candidates with a "big heart, boundless imagination, and unwavering commitment to making life in their community just a little bit sweeter." But what does the role actually entail? Well, for one—candy tasting. Interns will travel to Mars Wrigley manufacturing sites, learn how to produce chewing gum, work on the global volunteer program, and more. But obviously, the best work perk: Sampling unreleased chocolate, gum, and candy.
However, you do need a little more than a sweet tooth if you're looking to get hired. Mars' ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, photo, video, and production experience, a grasp on social media, and of course an interest in traveling to manufacturing sites and media events.
"Not only will the ideal candidate get a VIP look ‘beneath the wrapper’ with a global crew of colleagues, this lucky intern will also have the chance to make a larger impact on the community of Chicago by helping the company in its mission to create #BetterMoments to make the city, and world, smile," a rep for the company said in a statement.
The internship program is based out of the company's Chicago headquarters. They also require applicants to be at least 21 years old—but have "the mindset of a kid in a candy store." Makes sense.
