Two friends in Australia appear to have cracked the McDonald's kiosk system, allowing them to score a free burger. A YouTube video shows the pals taking advantage of a burger discount by tricking the machine.
In the video, they order 10 burgers for $1 each using the kiosks. Then, they remove the meat from the ten burgers, which discounts each of the burgers by $1.10—leaving enough surplus to cover the cost of a regularly priced burger at McDonald's.
The total for the order comes to $0.00, and the two men demonstrate that when requesting to check out, the kiosk confirms that there is "no payment required." The video also shows the friends opening their McDonald's bag, with all 11 of their free burgers (well, one free burger and 10 buns with ketchup and pickles).
The video, which was posted to Reddit, as well, has received some entertaining comments. One person wrote, "That pattyless burger is the most depressing meal I've ever seen." Another said, "Nice to know McD's will pay me to take their dressed buns next time I'm grilling burgers." That's actually not a bad idea...
One Reddit user was confused. "But why would you tell... THE ENTIRE WORLD?" Other people chimed in, agreeing that now it'll be difficult to get the free burger.
You can watch the entire video for yourself:
Hey, it's not FREE, but when you buy one Big Mac right now in the McDonald's app, you can get another for just 50 cents. Two cheap Big Macs are way better than a free burger and 10 sets of buns with ketchup and pickles, in my humble opinion.
