Hey, you! Guess what? You don't have to choose between a nice, cold iced coffee or a refreshing, light beer to cool you down anymore. Thanks to Dunkin's new beer, you can have both! According to a press release, Harpoon Brewery collaborated with Dunkin' again after their initial partnership last year. The result this time around is a bright and summery limited edition beer inspired by Dunkin's coffee.
Harpoon Dunkin' Summer Coffee Pale Ale is available for the summer in 12 oz. cans and on draft at select retail locations across the Eastern U.S. The new beer is 5% ABV, and according to Dunkin', "combines the flavors of Dunkin's Original Blend with a bright, summery pale ale." The chain says that the light beer pairs well with summer foods such as coffee-rubbed brisket, chipotle chicken tacos, and brunch foods.
Summer Coffee Pale Ale follows Coffee Porter as the second craft beer created by the partnership between Dunkin' and Harpoon. Per a press release, Harpoon Dunkin's Coffee Porter "proved to be extremely popular among both beer enthusiasts and the brands' fans alike, with millions of pints served within the regional brewery's distribution footprint."
Dan Kenary, co-founder and CEO of Harpoon Brewery, said, "I just depleted the last of my stash of Harpoon Dunkin' Coffee Porter the other day so, selfishly, the timing on this launch couldn't be better." He describes the new Summer Coffee Pale Ale as "hoppy and vibrant with a nice coffee character."
Looking forward to trying it! Be sure to get a taste as soon as possible, since the Summer Coffee Pale Ale is only available through the summer.
