We got to taste the new drinks back in March (more on that below!) and highlyyy recommend the Cherry Limeade Red Bull Slush when you need a cold afternoon pick-me-up. In case you're curious what other Sonic fans thought of it, here are some opinions from everyone's favorite soundboard.

Sonic is constantly coming up with exciting and unique flavor options for its slushes (remember the pickle juice slush last summer?!). The chain is now debuting a new slush at the end of April that just may be even more exciting than pickle juice. Hint: it'll give you a boost of energy and it pairs reeeaaallllly well with vodka...

Red Bull Slushes hit Sonic menus on April 29, and whether you need an afternoon pick-me-up or a weekend treat, these drinks are a serious game changer. When it's too warm this spring for a coffee, you can instead opt for a Red Bull Slush for your energy boost. When you want to be the envy of the entire pool party this summer, you can show up with a Red Bull Slush that you've so expertly made boozy. When you wan—you know what? You get it.

I had the opportunity to try the Red Bull Slush early, and though I'm not an avid Red Bull (or any energy drink, for that matter) consumer, I found the slush to be a much more enjoyable experience than drinking a plain Red Bull. The slush base mellows out the flavor a bit, which I appreciate.

If you're not a fan of original Red Bull, Sonic will also be offering a Cherry Limeade Red Bull Slush. It's the perfect marriage of an iconic flavor from the chain and the energy drink.

The slushes will range in price from $2.99 to $4.99 depending on the size, and the largest size will have an entire can of Red Bull in it—talk about a caffeine and sugar rush. The new slushes also qualify for the chain's Half Price Happy Hour promotions. You can purchase a single can of Red Bull from Sonic, but the cans aren't part of the half price deal.

These drinks will only be available through June, so be sure to hit your local drive-in ASAP once they hit menus. I'll see you there!
