NERDS are arguably the most nostalgic candy. The sweet and crunchy nuggets of sugar have been around since the 1980s, and they've been a staple in trick-or-treat bags and drugstore candy aisles for generations. After the launch of Big Chewy NERDS last year, Sour Big Chewy NERDS are finally making their debut next month.
"After receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from consumers across the nation for our Big Chewy NERDS, it only made sense to take things up a notch with the introduction of Sour Big Chewy NERDS," NERDS senior brand manager Kelly Peyser said in a press release. "We are constantly looking for new ways to excite our fans, and are thrilled to satisfy not only sweet tooth cravings, but sour ones, too!"
A bag of the sour NERDS will include flavors like Brainiac Blue Raspberry, Streaming Strawberry Lemonade, Wiki Watermelon and Blood Orange Byte. The candy is already listed on Walmart's website, but will officially be available in grocery and convenience stores nationwide in April.
