There are two kinds of sports fans in this world: Those who go to watch the game and those who go to have a good time amid the overpriced food/beer/wine. Sophie Turner, inspiration to all, is seemingly in the latter camp.
Last night, the Game of Thrones actress went to a hockey game at Madison Square Garden with fiancé Joe Jonas. Naturally, the two were not going to go unnoticed. After a clip of her show was featured on the Jumbotron, the camera panned to Sophie, who, like any normal person whose face is suddenly shown to thousands of people, didn't quite know what to do. Enter: the wine chug seen round the world.
Shortly after Barstool Sports posted a video of Sophie downing a full glass of wine on the big screen, the actress posted it to her own feed with the caption "Send it for the Starks" (a reference to her Game of Thrones family, in case you've been living under a rock).
Since it went up, more than 5 million people have viewed the video, and the reaction was pretty unanimous: she's a legend. Drake commented, "Wow inspiration for 2020 and beyond." Vanessa Hudgens left a "Hahahhaha ammmmmazing," but it was model Iskra Lawrence who called it best: "Ok you're a legend." HBO's account commented "Shattered and season 8 hasn't even started yet."
To answer what I'm sure you're most concerned about, yes, the JoBros did in fact weigh in. Joe left the emoji with the sunglasses on it, Nick wrote "Oh my god." No word from Kevin or the other J sisters yet. Anywho, excuse me while I go watch Sucker for the 500th time with a newfound love of Sophie!
