After a long, tumultuous journey—and one very tall fence—The Bachelor's Colton Underwood and Cassie Randolph are finally free to flaunt their relationship out in the open. But amidst the stream of loved-up Instagrams and gushing captions are a few very telling tweets. And now we've got to ask: Are they in love or just hungry? Their entire relationship seems to revolve around food.
Okay, wait. That does kind of sound like a fairytale....
In their People Magazine exclusive, Randolph opened up about the moment she knew it was real. "The thing I was shocked to find out about Colton is that we both eat the weirdest things," she said. "We eat the same! Our first dinner, Colton got some Wasa crackers and a bowl of Dijon mustard, and that was our appetizer. I looked at it, and I said, 'That's something I would do!' I knew I definitely loved him." And Colton agreed: "I was like, 'Aw, this is awesome!' We also both like to throw a bunch of random ingredients in a bowl and call it dinner." I mean, what could be more romantic than a candlelit dinner of Wasa crackers and Dijon mustard?
After taking their love food affair to Twitter, Underwood confessed his devotion to Cassie—and also, breakfast. "I love Cassie so much I just shared my breakfast with her. That’s real love... because I really love breakfast." Okay, but which one do you love MORE Colton!? Like who would get your final rose!?
Shortly after comparing his love for Cassie to his love for food, the pair got in their first public fight. And shocker, it was over dumplings. "Cassie: 'what's in this french onion dumpling?' Colton: 'Babe. Come on. Some onion...uh..some..french,'" Randolph tweeted. Her new man didn't take the public dig too well. "Me explaining food is like you explaining your feelings on The Bachelor," he shot back, adding, "too soon!?" YES. It is too soon. They continued to @ each other over the incident—with Bachelor-related gifs, I might add—but just hours later were back to posting snuggly Instagrams.
So in conclusion, they're probably hungry AND in love.
