The holidays may be a whopping eight months away, but we come bearing prompt tidings of great joy—you could actually land a role in a brand-new made-for-TV Christmas movie. (Best. Present. Ever.)
According to NBC 25, a national production company is currently on the hunt for extras of all ages, sexes, ethnicities, and sizes to star as local townspeople in the upcoming film. We don't know much in terms of plot, cast, or title just yet, but we do know it's set to take place in the most quintessential Christmas spot—Frankenmuth, MI.
The German-inspired vacation hotspot boasts mouth-watering chicken, the world's largest Christmas store (NBD), and the adorable River Place Shops, where a chunk of the filming will take place. This location also couldn't be more fitting given the film's context, considering Frankenmuth has been deemed as the "Most Christmassy" town in the United States.
Unfortunately, the roles are unpaid—but it's all for the good of the Christmas spirit, right? If you're still on board and age 18+, email your name, headshot, and availability to frankenmuthchristmas@gmail.com. From there, you'll be given instructions on call time, where to go, and what outfits to pack (obviously lots of cozy red and green clothes).
Best of luck to all aspiring extras, and we're crossing our fingers you'll get the chance to work alongside the likes of Lacey Chabert or Lori Laughlin.
