Mindy Kaling took to Instagram Wednesday to document her celebratory National Oreo Day taste test—and she did not hold back. The Office alum sampled a variety flavors—mint, birthday cake, red velvet, lemon, chocolate peanut butter pie, and the newly released "The Most Stuf" cookies—before individually scoring each one. However, Kaling was quick to note the IG experiment was not an ad partnership. "I'm not sponsored by Oreos, but I love them," she said. Honestly, relatable.
She began the video by sharing her take on *how* to approach the classic snack, voicing her personal view on the age-old Oreo debate: eat as a whole or split in half? Kaling then demonstrated. And while she admittedly had a firm sandwich-style stance—"I don't get people who are like, 'I have to take it apart and like lick the cream off.' It's too sensual for me," she commented—her opinion seem to shift after trying out the controversial method for herself.
Birthday Cake
The Bday Cake Oreo, which according to Kaling had quite the pungent smell, was first up. She rated it a subpar 3/10 and called the flavor "meh." You hear that Nabisco? Do better!
Mint
She moved on to mint, scoring it a 5/10 for its thin mint vibes and awarding extra points for matching her sweater. Makes sense!
Lemon
After struggling to separate the lemon Oreos—"I'm too weak," she cried—Mindy was underwhelmed. A 4/10 for lacking lemon flavor.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie
Earning an impressive 8/10, the chocolate peanut butter pie flavor came in second.
Red Velvet
Kaling ranked the red velvet 6/10 and admitted she's, "not not a fan."
The Most Stuf
Last and certainly not least, The Most Stuf was honored as the night's big winner with 10/10. "Oh my god, this is so good," she praised. "Look how beautiful. It's like cream with a hint of cookie, which is exactly how I like my cookies."
Although Kaling had a solid roster of flavors on hand, she couldn't muster up the strength to take on the entire Oreo population in one sitting. She even @-ed the brand for the official grand total. But all in all, what a success!
