In January, President Trump invited National Championship titleholders, the Clemson Tigers, to a celebratory feast of fast food at the White House. Which was, um, interesting. The commander-in-chief is apparently keeping with tradition. He welcomed Division 1 winners, the North Dakota State Bison, for their own lunch of Big Macs, fries, and Chick-fil-A sandwiches.

Although he *claims* the menu choice was in honor of the players, informing the team he opted out of a chef-prepped meal because "I know you people," we're all aware of Trump's passion for fast food. In January, he told reporters, "I like 'em all," when asked about his preference between McDonald's and Wendy's. "It's American, I like it, it's all American stuff, but it's good stuff."

According to the White House, the president coughed up the cash himself for Clemson's meal with much of the staff absent due to the government shutdown. However, former New York Giant Michael Strahan was unimpressed by his efforts and offered to throw the Tigers a "proper" party. "I would like to invite the Clemson Tiger football team here for a great meal," he volunteered on Good Morning America. "Whoever can make it, we'll hook you up with lobster. Whatever you want, we're going to take care of you. We're going to give you the proper meal that you deserve because that was one great game, a great accomplishment." He promised to pick up the tab, too, adding, "Out of my pocket...I'll pay for it, no problem."

NDSU was the sixth football team welcomed since Trump's 2016 inauguration, USA Today reports. The MLB's Houston Astros and NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins also stopped by his D.C. residence following their own victories. However, several championship teams have declined invitation.
