Sprite has finally gone and done what customers have been craving for years: a soda and lemonade mashup. The newly-released Lymonade made its debut on Instagram February 24 after the brand took to social media to share the exciting announcement. "You’ve been mixing Sprite and Lemonade for a minute," they wrote. "Stay tuned for what’s next. We think you’re gonna like it. #JustASplash"

The video clip included tweets dating back to 2017 calling the combo "undefeated" and "UNRIVALED." According to Brand Eating, the product rollout is now officially underway and hitting retailers nationwide. The new flavor reportedly includes one percent lemon juice from concentrate and boasts slightly less calories and sugar, with 220 calories and 57 grams of sugar versus the original's 240 calories and 64 grams of sugar. It's not a lot, but we'll take what we can get.

The brand itself credits a continued food trend for the new flavor. "Sparkling lemonade is a fast-growing category, mainly due to new entrants and innovation," a representative for the company told USA TODAY. "Over the last 52 weeks, the category has grown 136 percent."

While Sprite and parent company Coco-Cola have remained mostly mum on the details, fans are already reacting on social media. "@Sprite had God as mixologist when they made this. Best one hands down!!" one user wrote. "This bout to be legendary. The sprite lemonade combo is amazing," another added.

We are READY.
