In 2013, McDonald's released a glorious item onto their menu: the Hot 'n' Spicy McChicken. Unfortunately, the chicken sandwich was later discontinued, leaving spicy food lovers forever longing for a new item to satisfy them. But recently, McDonald's Canada stepped up to the plate with not one, not two, but THREE new spicy McChickens, each with a different level of heat.
The Spicy Jalapeño McChicken was released at the end of January, and, according to Brand Eating, the sandwich features two layers of creamy Jalapeño sauce on the regular McChicken. This McChicken is meant to ease you into the spicier McChickens you'll undoubtedly eventually eat.
On February 12, the Habanero McChicken hit menus, and this McChicken features, well, habanero sauce.
Tomorrow, the Ghost Pepper McChicken, the spiciest of the three options, will be released. The sandwich is topped with Ghost Pepper sauce, AKA sauce made from one of the hottest chili peppers in the world. No big deal. Not at all!
All three sandwiches will be available until March 11, but as of right now, there are no plans to bring the spicy sandwiches stateside. If you've ever wanted a reason to head to Canada, though, this is a good one. Enjoy!
