Oh happy day! Target just dropped a cheap-as-heck wine collection featuring the PRETTIEST bottles. Coming to stores March 3, the new line, called "The Collection," includes five classic wine varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, a red wine blend, and rosé. Each bottle is $9.99, so...you know what to do.
While we'd buy these based on the price point (and our love of Tarjay) alone, you may want some more details on what each bottle tastes like. According to Target, the Cab Sauv has notes of black cherry and spice, and it pairs well with a BBQ ribeye steak. The red wine has hints of mocha, caramel, blackberry, and dark chocolate, while the rosé tastes like strawberries and watermelon. The Chardonnay has the most interesting description, with notes of "freshly baked butter biscuits and flavors of roasted marshmallow."
Along with The Collection, Target added a new California Roots variety, their two-buck-chuck rival. The $5 Sauvignon Blanc bottle is the seventh wine to join the California Roots collection.
They could've stopped there, but get this: Target is also gifting us with two new wine cube cans—bubbles rosé and bubbles white wine. These go for $11 per pack. Unlike previous wine cubes, these come with four individual sparkling wine cans.
Last but not least, Target will now be selling Crook & Marker spiked sparkling drinks, which come in seven different flavors and have zero grams of sugar. The 80-calorie drinks come in four-packs for $9 or eight-packs for $17. You can find the new line-up of beverages at Target's carrying alcohol; while they aren't available at every single location, Target says they are working to carry alcohol in nearly 90 percent of stores by the end of 2019.
