The never-ending trend of food that tastes like other food lives to see another day. Papa John's announced its next specialty pizza will be a Chicken and Waffles-topped pie set to come out later this year.
Papa John's took to Twitter to decide on the new flavor, asking fans to tweet their support for either a Chicken and Waffle pizza or a Huevos Rancheros pizza. According to the brand, more than 52,000 votes were cast with more than 70 percent of the vote going toward the southern-inspired pie.
While Papa John's isn't saying when exactly the pizza will be added to menus, they did say it's coming this year. The brand also said the savory-sweet pizza will have crispy chicken, waffle crumbles, bacon, cheese, and a spicy honey on top. This begs the question...cheese and waffles? Yay or nay? Obviously chicken and waffles are an amazing combo, but are you here for the pizza incorporation?
