In what can only be summed up as THE greatest marketing strategy ever, a 10-year-old Girl Scout remixed Cardi B's "Money" to help sell her cookie supply. And now, the rapper is responding.
Kiki Paschall's video—which features the California-native surrounded by boxes of her cookie stock—landed on the Girl Scout Twitter account February 2, quickly racking up 26 thousand retweets. In the remix, Paschall raps, "Been in this game since 2014 / selling them cookies is my thing / buy Thin Mints or even S'mores / Please open up when I knock on your door." Before launching into her chorus, "I got girls in my troop / cookies to my roof / Money!"
Is this not EVERYTHING!? And clearly, Cardi agrees! She reposted the viral video to her own account a few days later, writing, "I want all the cookieshhh." Not only did Kiki reach the queen herself, she also met her sales goal. Crushing it, girl. Paschall's sales link is no longer accepting purchases. According to Insider, the budding rap star earned over a million views and sold 1,000 boxes of cookies.
The official Girl Scout account followed up their original post with an endearing message of support. "#BlackGirlMagic is a rallying cry to celebrate strength, resiliency, and accomplishments of black women and girls who triumphantly succeed in a society where discrimination and inequality remains pervasive." Allllll the feels.
Kiki's mom also jumped online to thank Cardi B for her social media love, People reports. "Thank you for the retweet!" she began. "This is "Kiki P's mom. Kiki is sleeping right now, but when she wakes up it will be like Christmas Day to hear that you responded. Please reach out to me if you truly want cookies...my troop would love the support." Wonder if Cardi is more of a Thin Mint or Tagalongs kind of girl...
