Martha Stewart is a multi-talented woman. She knows cooking, home decor, and party planning. Turns out, Martha knows a very interesting hack for making scrambled eggs, too.
Food Network posted a video of Martha demonstrating how to whip up the "softest, fluffiest scrambled eggs." The secret isn't a fancy pan or spatula, though. It's a (drum roll please)...cappuccino machine.
Martha begins by breaking up two eggs, adding a pinch of salt and pepper, and some butter. Then she brings the container of beaten eggs over to the cappuccino machine to insert the steam wand, at which point viewers are probably slightly confused.
"In just a matter of seconds," as Martha puts it, the steam wand steams the eggs. She mixes the eggs up a bit, and then piles them on a piece of toast, saying, "These eggs are buttery and fluffy and light and delicious." I'm sold!
Facebook users didn't seem so convinced, though. One person wrote, "and who's going to clean the frother?????" Another said, "But....but they're so slimy and undercooked." One viewer wrote simply, "I like my eggs cooked, thanks."
Others were poking fun at Martha's use of a high-end appliance to make eggs.
At least one fan came to Martha's defense, saying, "There is nothing wrong to try something different with different cooking appliances...Chefs have used so many different tools to cook food for the past many centuries!!"
If you happen to have a cappuccino machine at home, you can try Martha's scrambled egg hack (if you don't mind deep-cleaning your machine afterwards). I'm guessing they're pretty darn good if they're Martha Stewart-approved. As for the rest of us, I suppose a pan will have to do!
