Oat milk is about to be way more accessible. What started as a trendy hipster coffee shop find is coming to grocery stores nationwide this month by way of Silk. The brand, which you probably already know from its extensive line of non-dairy soy, almond, and cashew milks, creamers, and yogurts, is adding to its collection with "Oat Yeah."

The milk alternative is launching with three flavors: plain, vanilla, and chocolate oat milk. All three have between 90 and 120 calories per eight-ounce serving and between four and 13 grams of sugar (unsurprisingly, chocolate has the most).

They're higher in carbs than most almond and soy drinks, with 14 grams per serving for the original and vanilla flavors and 23 grams for the chocolate flavor, though pretty on par with most cow's milks.

While oat milk started trending last year—searches for oatmilk were up 186% on Pinterest, according it its year-end trend report, and last month high demand led to a shortage—Silk has been readying itself for years. "To prepare for the launch of Silk’s new Oat Yeah oatmilk, we spent years perfecting the product’s taste and texture to ensure it would meet our customers’ expectations," senior brand manager Nikita McKinney said in a press release.

The new milk is rolling out in major grocery stores nationwide this month, including places like Target, Walmart, Publix, and Sprouts. The suggested retail price (it may vary slightly by location) is $4.49 per half-gallon carton.
