During the Golden Globes tonight—between the gowns, the jokes and the movie clips— Walmart somehow got me to look up from my Twitter feed during a commercial break. This is usually a tough task, but the new ad for the company's grocery pick-up service seriously brought me so much joy. Let's examine, shall we:

In a few different versions of the ad, we see all your favorite pop culture vehicles racing to Walmart to pick up their groceries: the Batmobile, the Mutt Cutts car from Dumb and Dumber, Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters, a Jeep from Jurassic Park (complete with tiny dinos), Cinderella's magical carriage, the Flintstones' car, Scooby Doo's Mystery Machine, Bumblebee, K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider, and Lighting McQueen. All the cars pull up to the same Walmart and grab their groceries from the bewildered employees, as the commercial touts the benefit of ordering your groceries online, and then picking them up for free.

*Note to companies, anytime you can bring together pop culture touchstones, you will make this jaded person smile.
