Daelman's Stroopwafels Caramel 24-Pack

Daelman's Stroopwafels Caramel 24-Pack

For anyone planning on flying United soon, I've got some great news for you. The airline announced one of its supremely delicious plane snacks is returning to the snack rotation in January 2019.

The stroopwafel, a sweet, thin, caramel-y wafer cookie, was replaced in June by a "maple wafer" cookie. Though it sounds and looks similar, Stroopwafel fans were not happy. Naturally, they shared their disappointment on Twitter.

All that outrage apparently did some good, as United added the cookie back to snack carts just six months later. Though according to one response from the airline, the cookies were never entirely off the menu, just temporarily swapped out so passengers could try something new.

Either way, the cookies are officially coming back, and we are PUMPED. (Side note: Is the child in United's Instagram Prince George, or is it without a doubt Prince George? @Kensington Palace, inquiring minds must know.)

In case you haven't tried one, you should know that these delicious little cookies are best consumed with tea or coffee. When you hold them over (or dip them in) a steaming drink, the cookies get softer and the gooey caramel center more pronounced. With all the stress that flying brings, a good cookie can go a long way. It's the little things, right?
