Excellent news for all those sitting at their desks right now sipping plain, gross office water, wishing it were something with a solid ABV: you can hydrate whilst drinking now! FIFCO introduced Pura Still Spiked Water recently, Brewbound reports, and it really just is...spiked water.

The product—which comes in around 4.5 percent ABV and has about 90 calories a bottle—rolled out nationwide over the month of December. It comes in six-packs of a few flavors (just blackberry, mandarin orange, and mango, for now) and is a simple combination of "purified water, malt alcohol base, cane sugar, citric acid, natural flavors, coconut water powder, sodium benzoate (to preserve flavor)," their site explains.

For all those still confused about how plain water can be alcoholic, Pura Still filters fermented malted barley extract and natural sugars into the water and adds natural flavoring, so it really looks like water, tastes like (flavored) water, and gets you tipsy (not at all like water).

The beauty of an alcoholic still water is twofold. Firstly, the company is calling the product "the first spiked water that doesn’t need bubbles to keep things interesting," (a.k.a it tastes good). Secondly, it's an alternative to an already-light spiked seltzer without all the post-drinking bloating that comes with combining bubbles and alcohol.

"People are prioritizing their health and wellness more than ever," Pura Still brand Jessica Stainsby said in a statement. "Pura Still creates an option for consumers who want to enjoy themselves without worrying about carbonation and bloating, calories, or excess sugar. You shouldn't have to compromise your lifestyle to enjoy a drink."
