UPDATE: January 3, 2019 at 5:39 p.m.
It's a 2019 miracle! After Carrot Cake Oreos were rumored to be dropping this spring, some shoppers have taken to Instagram to share that the newest sandwich cookie flavor is already on shelves.
If we're to take the Instagrammers' words for fact, it's looking like these babies are available at both Targets and Walmarts—though no word on whether they've hit every store yet.
User @phatphood mentions that the Oreo cookies and creme filling are both flavored (the cookies like carrot cake and the creme like cream cheese, which we already assumed from the packaging leak).
Another reviewer, @mnmtwinz, said of the flavor: "These are absolutely spot on! Especially when it’s softened in milk, that’s when it really tastes and feels like a moist carrot cake!" Sounds promising, no?
That said, some people aren't completely sold, like @kaketimereviews, who wrote, "Wish there was a little more carrot flavoring."
So go run, DON'T WALK, to pick up a package to try yourself—then let us know what you think. Worth breaking a resolution for?!

Just when you think Oreo has created every variation of the cookie possible, they drop another flavor that we can’t wait to try. One of the newer flavors Oreo reportedly has up its sleeve (haha, get it?) combines a classic cake with the beloved cookie.
Carrot Cake Oreos are a flavor we didn’t know we needed, but we are SO excited to have. Instagram foodie Candy Hunting posted a photo of the new Oreos, which will reportedly have carrot cake flavored cookies and cream cheese-flavored cream. They sound like crunchy little carrot cakes!
Candy Hunting reports that the Carrot Cake Oreos will be available early next spring (hopefully in time for Easter)! We reached out to Oreo for more information about the new flavor, and we will update as we hear back.
In the meantime, I HIGHLY recommend that any Oreo fans make these Oreo Cookie Balls. They’re just stupid good and will make any holiday party that much better.
