Delish: Eat Like Every Day's The Weekend

Pizza is a food that can be boring or so, so over the top. There are endless topping options, but some restaurants don't just stop at a deluxe (piled with various meats and veggies). Little Caesars is testing a pizza that is definitely one of the most over-the-top and outrageous that we've seen.

Someone at Little Caesars understands the importance of carb-loading, evidently. The Lasagna Pizza—no, this not a joke—has all the fixings of a legit lasagna, on TOP of a pizza. According to Little Caesars' website, the large pizza has a toasted Parmesan breadcrumb crust topped with "meaty" marinara, Italian sausage, mozzarella, muenster, and ricotta, and mini ribbon pasta, of course.

The Lasagna Pizza seems like it would be similar to eating regular lasagna, with a side of cheesy bread, perhaps?! Per Little Caesars website, the pizza is a whopping 2740 calories, and costs $9.00 (when ordering from a Pooler, GA, location, at least). When you consider how much it would cost you to make your own lasagna, it comes out to be a pretty good deal.

Chew Boom reports that the Lasagna Pizza is served from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at participating locations testing the menu item, including in Georgia, West Virginia, and Ohio. We reached out to Little Caesars for more information regarding availability of the new 'za, and the chain seems to be keeping the details on the DL. Maybe the Lasagna Pizza makes it way to your city eventually. Personally, I'll stick to my pizza and lasagna separately.
