Carrie Underwood was keeping the details of her new baby relatively quiet until she announced the gender (a boy!) while hosting the Country Music Association Awards earlier this month. And now, another pretty huge piece of info has been leaked: Carrie's due date!
In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Taylor Dye of Maddie & Tae let it slip that the country star's second child with husband Mike Fisher is expected in the first month of the new year.
"January," she said when asked about it at the 2018 CMA Awards. "And we've already offered to babysit."
Maddie & Tae's intel is likely very accurate, considering the duo, along with Runaway June, will open for Carrie on her Cry Pretty 360 Tour, which kicks off in May.
While Carrie herself has yet to confirm, this date is in line with what we predicted given a couple clues: The "Cry Pretty" singer announced she was pregnant in early August. And most women, including Carrie when she was expecting her first son Isaiah Michael, wait until about the three-month mark to announce their pregnancy.
Based on this, we estimated early 2019, either January or February—but the Maddie & Tae quote puts the due date on the earlier side. A January birth will give the star about a four-month maternity leave before heading out on the road, presumably with baby boy (who apparently already has a name) in tow.
"It took us a while to get here," Carrie said to Us Weekly at the awards show. "I'm gonna cry again. [I'm] just so thankful … to find out Isaiah's gonna have a baby brother. It was just great news. We're excited."
