Almost exactly one year ago, Carrie Underwood revealed to fans that she had fallen and injured her face. The accident occurred shortly after the star co-hosted the Country Music Association Awards alongside Brad Paisley. This year, at the 2018 CMA Awards, the country singer proved she could laugh at herself by putting on a bubble wrap dress, which Brad had given her in reference to the incident.
At the beginning of the show, Brad explained how Carrie had taken a fall two days after the 2017 CMAs. Since he didn't want that to happen again, he presented his co-host with a precautionary outfit: a dress made of bubble wrap.
The joke got a good laugh, but then Carrie, who is currently pregnant with her second child with husband Mike Fisher, took it to the next level when she came out wearing it (along with silver Ruthie Davis heels).
Now that's how you get up and dust yourself off! And honestly, is it just us or does she look great in it?
Following the fall, the singer stepped away from the spotlight to heal and focus on family but returned with a single inspired by the incident, "Cry Pretty." Shortly after her second child arrives, Carrie will take her new album on tour.
