Update: November 18, 2019 11:45 a.m. Once again, Trader Joe's has blessed us with these delicious Mini Stroopwafel Ice Cream Sandwiches and they were, once again, found by Instagrammer @candyhunting.
It seems like TJ's is going to make their return an every-fall event since they appeared for the first time in November last year. If so, we're totally here for it. Time to start tracking them down at our local spot so we can enjoy them over Thanksgiving weekend.
Original: November 13, 2018 5:12 p.m. As if you didn't already have 101 reasons to be obsessed with Trader Joe's, here's one more: the chain is now selling stroopwafel ice cream sandwiches. And they're teeny tiny! Ah!
TJ's Mini Stroopwafel Ice Cream Sandwiches are made with caramel waffle cookies and filled with salted caramel ice cream. The frozen treats come in a box of eight, but you probably should preemptively write your name on the package in Sharpie. Tell your roomies to get their own box!
Instagram user @candyhunting spotted the new dessert in Illinois and seemed really amped about the find.
Per Trader Joe's, the ice cream sandwiches should be arriving in all stores this week, and are " intended to only be available for stroopwafeling (holiday) season", which means there's a limited quantity. A TJ's employee at an NYC location says once they hit shelves, they'll probably go quickly, so keep your eyes peeled in the next few weeks as you pass the frozen section of your store!
Please tell me you, too, have never wanted to stand in a stupid-long grocery store line with just one item more.
