Jonathan Van Ness and his Queer Eye costars are out to change the world, one man at a time. Such a task comes with a lot of responsibility, so JVN teamed up with Lipton's Stress Less Tea to share a few stress-relieving tips. When we sat down with the Netflix star, he also dished on everything from the things he always keeps in his pantry to the one dish he's obsessed with at fellow Fab Five member Antoni Porowski's new NYC restaurant Village Den:
What are the three things you always keep in your pantry?
"Half and half, Lipton Stress Less tea, and coffee."
If you were a food emoji, which would you be?
"I would be a peach, girl."
Do you have a face mask that doubles as a snack?
"Yes! You can take agave nectar, put it in a glass jar, put it under warm water, and then it's an amazing hair and face mask. It increases the moisture retention in your skin and hair."
What's your favorite food to have when you're on the road.
"When I'm on the road I actually have this rule that the hotel has to clear out all of the food from the food bin because I will wake up at 3 a.m. covered in wrappers of nuts and gummy bears and chocolate stuff."
Have you been to Antoni's new restaurant yet?
"I have been to the Village Den. I love the gorgeous fish fingers. I know it's like "fish fingers?" Yes, queen, fish fingers, they are so good. I don't even like fish fingers, but those fish fingers, honey, I cannot stop eating them."
What snacks can you not live without?
"There's really a lot of snacks that I can't live without, but one that I'm currently just yearning for is butter cake and I don't know why. Like those gooey butter bars."
What's the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?
"I turn my alarm off, and I roll out of bed, and I do three minutes of mindfulness where I just sit up nice and tall on the ground and listen to my inhales and my exhales and just sort of ground down."
