UPDATE: October 23, 2018 at 1:38 p.m.

Chick-fil-A has spoken, and here is the official list of everywhere currently testing mac and cheese:

  • Phoenix, AZ
  • Greensboro, NC
  • San Antonio, TX
  • Nashville, TN
  • Baltimore, MD
  • Houston, TX

Per the company, the limited-time tests will determine whether or not the menu item will become available nationwide in the future, so for the love of god, go eat mac and cheese if you reside in one of these cities!!! The world needs you.

Oh, and in all those places, you can order it on the catering menu, too, in a small or large tray option. Go forth and carb load!

Chick-fil-A serving mac and cheese sounds like a given. The southern-based fast food chain (founded in Georgia) already has a lock on three southern staples: fried chicken, biscuits, and sweet tea. But surprisingly, the cheesy pasta has yet to arrive on menus nationwide. With any luck, though, that could be changing soon.

While Chick-fil-A hasn't confirmed the news yet, here's what we know so far: Chick-fil-A quietly began testing the side back in 2017, per a few Chicken Wire (yes, that's what their news blasts are called) posts about new "Family Style Meals" available in select cities. It's been added as a side to certain menus, too, including restaurants outside Charlotte, NC, in Willis, TX, and in Maryland.

People have recently posted pictures of it on Twitter, and Chick-fil-A even responded to a tweet about the mac and cheese earlier this month:

Those who have tasted it seem to be obsessed:

Chick-fil-A hasn't responded yet to questions about whether this product will eventually roll out nationwide, but seeing as it does appear on their website, we can at least assume it'll be available in these very lucky cities for awhile longer. We'll update this story when we know more!
