Delish: Eat Like Every Day's The Weekend

Delish: Eat Like Every Day's The Weekend

When most people think about ordering food for a crowd, a few options typically come to mind: pizza, deli platters, maybe bagels and cream cheese if it's a morning event. Taco Bell wants to add another dish to the top of your mind. I'll give you one guess as to what it could be...

Starting next week, the fast food chain is relaunching Party Packs, their group-sized taco orders that they hope will make their way to your game-day parties, birthday parties, and the like. Available in 10- and 12-packs, they can be ordered three different ways.

There's the Taco Party Pack, featuring a mix of 12 crunchy or soft tacos; the Taco Variety Pack, which comes with a mix of six crunchy or soft tacos and six Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Tacos; and Grande Meals, which have 10 of your choice of bean burritos, soft tacos and crunchy tacos.

It's not a new product altogether: These group meals have been on menus for a while (Brand Eating reviewed them back in 2010), but the packaging has gotten an upgrade, and Taco Bell is making it easier to purchase them with new delivery and ordering options. Taco Bell's main goal is to be a bigger part of your celebrations. Chief Marketing Officer Marisa Thalberg sees it as an extension of their lifestyle brand, calling the launch "more about an idea than an item."

Given the ways fans are interacting with Taco Bell, it seemed like the right time to reintroduce the concept, Thalberg said. With people involving Taco Bell in promposals, after parties, and even weddings—110 people have booked weddings at T. Bell's Las Vegas chapel!—it made sense for the restaurant to lean into the celebratory behavior.

The party packs will be available to purchase in stores, online, or through the Taco Bell app as of October 18. They can also be delivered, so long as you're near one of the thousands of locations that's already partnered with GrubHub.

Good news for those without T.Bell delivery in their reach: The brand is working hard to nationalize delivery, though they can't say with certainty when all markets will be reached.
