How many times have you been craving a beer, but could also kind of go for an iced coffee? As a gift to the extremely indecisive people of the world, Dunkin' and Harpoon cooked up a compromise.
As of October 1, you can now buy—or order at a bar—Harpoon's Dunkin' Coffee Porter. The beer was specially made by the Boston-based brewery to have "a smooth mouthfeel with aromas of espresso and dark chocolate." Its got 6 percent ABV, and per a press release, pairs well with hearty stews, seasonal desserts, tailgating, and, you guessed it, donuts.
The bottle is easy to spot at stores—its white label is decorated in Dunkin's signature orange and pink colors, and the side even looks like the side of a coffee cups, with checks marking the drinks's flavor, color, aroma, and taste.
According to Harpoon's CEO and Co-Founder, Dan Kenary, Dunkin' played a big role in keeping the staff happy as they built their brand.
"Dunkin’ has been there for us since the early days when getting the brewery up and running required a lot of beer, and even more coffee,” Dan said.
"We couldn’t think of a better way to pay tribute to the company that’s helped fuel our success than to create something special for our fans by combining the taste of their favorite morning brew with one of ours."
The beer will ship to all Harpoon markets throughout the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast as well as select markets in Central U.S. It's only available this fall—check Harpoon’s Beer Finder to see where you can find the brew near you.
