The series begins streaming on October 12. On Netflix. Like we said, just in time to really get yourself ready for Halloween. Coincidence? We think not. 😈

What is the show actually about?

Excellent question! Netflix files the show—which is rated TV-PG—under TV Shows, TV Comedies, and Funny Ladies (always a good sign). Also, according to the streaming service, Curious Creations is "offbeat, campy, irreverent, quirky, and absurd." Basically, the show follows Christine as she "fills her home with haunting confections, creepy crafts—and wildly inappropriate creatures."

Christine herself described the show to MyRecipes.com like this: "It's like if Morticia Addams stopped in the middle of the movie and started explaining how to bake cookies." What more do you need to know?

OK, fine, that's a great question. Christine first became Internet-famous a few years back when she quit her office job to dedicate her life to this creepy baking-filled way of living.

That ultimately led her to hundreds of thousands of Instagram followers, as well as cookbook deals, and calls from people working on Tim Burton's latest movie. You can read more about her trajectory here, but it's no wonder we're here talking about her undoubtedly fantastic forthcoming Netflix show.

What else do we know about the spooky series so far?

According to Food & Wine, Christine will be cooking alongside puppet characters, which makes sense, as the series is co-produced by the Jim Henson Company's adult-focused spinoff (fyi: Jim Henson created The Muppets).

Otherwise, Netflix has described the show as a place where Christine will "bake, sculpt and sew to create delectable confections and hauntingly disturbing decor with the help of her colorful collection of creatures," which is nothing new, but it is exciting.

Pumpkin-carving and binge-watching, anyone?
