Remember the Oregon Trail game? If you were the right age when the computer game came out, you probably loved leading a crew of settlers into the unknown lands of the West. The game looked like it would be a lot of fun in real life, if you didn't count the constant threat of losing oxen, drowning, or contracting an illness.

Now, there's a way you can live out your Oregon Trail dreams, but in much comfier accommodations. Yosemite Pines RV Resort and Family Lodging has just announced the arrival of new Conestoga covered wagons. As Afar reports, the resort is located 22 miles west of the Big Oak Flat entrance to Yosemite National Park.

The resort is also the first one in Northern California to offer the glamping option. Each Conestoga Wagon comes with a king-size bed and one or two sets of bunk beds. There's heating, air conditioning, microwaves, refrigerators, and Keurig coffee makers, and each wagon is a fire pit and picnic table. So there will be no fording the river or dying of dysentery on this Oregon Trail.

As Travel + Leisure reports, while the wagons do not have their own showers or toilets, they are located nearby. The large wagons sleep up to six people, and the smaller wagons can hold four.

The wagons will usually run you about $179 a night, but from now until September 30, 2018, the Yosemite Pines Resort is offering a buy-one-night, get-one-night free special for guests. To book, call call 209-962-7690 and use the code WAGONINTRO.
