Let me just say — Jimmy Fallon happens to be one of the celebrities that I am 100% positive I would not be able to "be cool" in the presence of. On that note, it evidently pays (literally) to be the opposite of me. The Tonight Show host recently paid a table's tab at dinner to show his appreciation for them not bothering he and his wife while they ate, according to Newsday.

Jimmy's gesture of gratitude wasn't a cheap one — with the tip, the bill was $1,136, Newsday reports. According to Enzo Lentini, general manager of Il Mulino, Jimmy has a home near the Hamptons restaurant, and "usually comes in on Sundays".

Two middle-aged couples were sitting adjacent to the table that Jimmy and his wife, Nancy Juvonen, and apparently were able to restrain themselves. The group couldn't believe they "were, like, two feet away" from Jimmy, and "wanted to jump out of their skin," according to Newsday. They kept their cool, though, and didn't want to interrupt him, which is the courteous and absolute right thing to do. I wish I could say I would behave in such a composed manner sitting two feet from Jimmy Fallon.

The former SNL star took notice of the table's respectful behavior, and after dinner, approached them. Enzo told Newsday that Jimmy said, "I appreciate you guys not wanting to disturb us. I knew you wanted to say hello." Then, he picked up the tab.

Claire Mercuri, Jimmy's spokeswoman, confirmed the story to Newsday. So there you have it, my friends. Jimmy is clearly as lovely as we all I thought.
