Hasn't the fast-food crew learned by now? Ya don't mess with Wendy's. Don't let the red pigtails, freckles, or blue bows fool you — Wendy's looooooves to drag other restaurants on Twitter (and elsewhere). Remember when they trolled IHOP during the pancake joint's recent identity crisis? Or that Wendy's Super-Bowl ad calling out McDonald's for using frozen beef? Wendy's latest tweet feud was with Steak n' Shake, and in the words of every child ever: "They started it!"

Steak 'n Shake tweeted about Wendy's first, but didn't tag them.

That didn't stop Wendy's from clapping back, though, less than an hour later. The tweet suggested that "Snake 'n Fake" "leave the subs to the sandwich shops and leave the cheeseburgers" to Wendy's.

Poor Steak n' Shake. They didn't stand a chance in this tweet-off.

Hey, now! A Frisco Melt is WORTH waiting 30 minutes for. Steak 'n Shake replied, and took a jab at Wendy's square burgers.

Some people decided to take this as an opportunity to call out Steak n' Shake after the initial tweet.

The best part might be other brands' responses.

Wendy's seems to have had the last word, though, and tweeted a link to their mixtape on Spotify.

The mixtape, appropriately named "We Beefin?" has five tracks. Consider it the soundtrack to your next Wendy's Twitter-War scrolling.
