On July 22, Prince William and Kate Middleton's oldest son, Prince George, turned five years old – can you believe it?! 😳

To commemorate the young prince's birthday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared a sweet snap of their beaming son.

It didn't take long before the internet began commenting back with warm birthday wishes and gushing over his adorable smile. But besides those comments, some royal fans were drawing connections between the third-in-line royal and his late grandmother, Princess Diana, as the Daily Mail pointed out.

The similarities became even more glaringly obvious when the Princess Diana fan page Love Princess Diana, posted a photo of the People's Princess next to the new birthday portrait.

"I think it's just the same lips and same smile as Diana," one commenter wrote. Another agreed saying they have the "same loving smile."

Besides George, many have drawn similar conclusions about Princess Charlotte and Diana. Like her older brother, some believe Charlotte shares identical facial features with Di. A fair comparison, if you ask us.

To draw even more comparisons, fans often say Charlotte is also a mini version of her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. After watching the evidence below, we think you'll agree that, again, it's a valid conclusion.

As you can gather, there are definitely some strong royal genes that have been passed down through the generations. And we're sure when/if Meghan and Harry decide to have children of their own, we'll see similar comparisons emerge. In the meantime, we're left wondering who the internet thinks Prince Louis looks like the most ... thoughts?
