IHOP has taken us on quite the roller coaster recently. The pancake chain decided it was going in a meatier direction for a limited time, changing its name to IHOb (International House of Burgers) to focus on lunch. After that strange moment (it is 2018, after all), the restaurant ditched the b, and announced IHOP was back, just in time for its 60th anniversary. Today, IHOP celebrates 60 years of pancakes and has decided to give us all a gift for the occasion. I have two words for you: IHOP. delivery.
You can officially add pancakes to your rotation of Things You Order When You're Too Lazy To Cook Or Haven't Been To The Store. IHOP has partnered with food delivery service DoorDash to bring your favorite breakfast foods to your door, per an IHOP press release.
The delivery service expands the brand's IHOP 'N GO platform, which already includes an online ordering system and mobile app. Now, more than 300 IHOP locations nationwide will offer delivery. By the end of the year, delivery will be available at an expected 600 to 700 locations.
When ordering through IHOP 'N GO via DoorDash, you will be able to choose from the restaurant's regular and limited-time menus, and also fully customize any order. The press release adds that all IHOP delivery and to-go orders are placed in "proprietary packaging that is designed to keep all-day breakfast foods ... hot and fresh while in transit — or in the case of its world-famous pancakes, hot, fresh and fluffy until eaten." Thank GOODNESS.
From Wednesday, July 18, to Sunday, July 22, DoorDash customers can enjoy FREE delivery on any IHOP order totaling $10 or more.
If you need me on Sunday, I'll be in my pjs, eating Strawberry Banana pancakes on the couch.
