There are few foods in this world that are more comforting when you're down than donuts. That fried dough just soothes the soul. And, there's probably only one snack out there that could possibly rival them: Fries. Dunkin Donut's just went ahead and threw the two treats together and now we can't be sad ever again.

Previously, the donut chain tested Donut Fries at a few locations in Boston and Providence, and people couldn't get enough of them. So starting July 2, the new snack will be available at participating locations across the country.

Donut fries are really mini churros and we have been and are SO here for it. Normally you can only get churros at like, carnivals, Disney, or Mexican restaurants, so the widespread access to these strips of fried croissant dough rolled in sugar is the best part. Expect five per order at a price of $2, and upon purchasing, Dunkin' Donuts will heat these babies up for you. If you're not looking to not eat them right away though, you can also throw them in the oven for five minutes at 350 degrees.

“As America’s donut leader, we put our passion and creativity towards finding fun and unexpected ways to please and surprise donut fans," said Tony Weisman, Dunkin' Donuts' Chief Marketing Officer in a statement. "There was a strong consumer response towards bringing Donut Fries to all Americans during the initial test, and we are excited to make this unique donut treat available nationwide this summer.”

Though the Donut Fries are only being offered for a limited time, Auntie Anne's better get ready for some serious competition. Both their Cinnamon Sugar Soft Pretzel Sticks and Dunkin's new fries satisfy that same brown-sugary craving.

Summer of love? Summer of SNACKS.
