Something strange is happening on Whole Foods' Instagram account, and the fan theories are already running wild. The grocery store scrubbed its feed clean save for two blank white posts, changed its bio to a bee emoji, and now only follows two people: Beyonce and Sting.

What do the artists have in common? Besides a sh*t-ton of Grammy's, both their names are associated with bees. Theory number one: Whole Foods wants to shine a light on what would happen to the world if the bee population goes extinct. Thanks, @mariparroh. ICYMI, bees were declining at rapid rates — though in 2017, the population increased by 3 percent — so much so that the United Nations created National Bee Day last year to raise awareness around the cause.

There's a lot to learn about the issue, but in short, bees are a vital part of crop production for tons of the ingredients we eat regularly, including almonds, blueberries, and watermelon, and their habitats are being destroyed by humans. Another Instagram user speculated that most (if not all) of the groceries that Whole Foods sells would be possible without bees.

Theory number two: Beyonce hacked Whole Foods' Instagram. This is less likely, but would be funny, so we'll float it.

Theory three, completely made up by a Delish video editor: The Everything is Love film is premiering at Whole Foods. We can only hope.

We've reached out to Whole Foods for comment, but they're keeping mum for now. We'll update this story as soon as we know more.
