With baby No. 5 on the way, you can be sure that Chip and Joanna Gaines have been busy getting their nursery ready. And because it’s the Gaineses, you know this nursery is going be a stunner — but what exactly will it look like when it’s all done?

Joanna’s clearly been working hard to make the new nursery just perfect. In May, Chip talked to CountryLiving.com about Joanna’s process (and enthusiasm!) for the project.

“Jo has had a ball working on the nursery,” he said. “It’s been eight years since we’ve done a nursery for ourselves, and she’s really been having fun with picking out details like colors and bedding and the crib.”

Chip added that the first thing on the to-do list was to put up a fresh coat of paint — and that Joanna wasn’t sure if she wanted to hang wallpaper from their Target line, Hearth and Hand with Magnolia. Regardless, the Fixer Upper star said he has “no doubt that when Jo gets finished with it, it’ll be the most beautiful room in the whole house.”

So, it sounds like we can (maybe?) expect some wallpaper. At the very least, Joanna seems to be planning to go with a darker color palette for the walls. In a Q&A with Real Simple on Wednesday, Joanna revealed a little about her vision.

“I haven’t completely decided on a nursery paint color yet, but I have a few darker shades in mind — I want the room to feel cozy with warm contrasts in colors and textures,” she explained. (Note: She also mentioned her love of wallpaper again. Perhaps it’s a hint?)

Joanna has also previously said that nurseries are her favorite kind of room to design.

"Any nursery I've ever done — to me, that was my favorite thing — because I didn't want to do your typical pink or blue," the mom of four told Apartment Therapy. She appreciates that these spaces are deeply "personal and sweet," and says it's important to design these rooms so they're truly unique to each child.

While it's hard to say for certain what their nursery will look like until the Gaines' actually reveal it, in the meantime we have a few decor guesses we don't think are too far off.

There will probably be wallpaper.

As previously mentioned, Joanna told Real Simple that she tends to gravitate towards "wallpaper patterns that add a lot of interest," and husband Chip confirmed that she was considering hanging wallpaper from their Target line. Don't be surprised if one of these wallpapers ends up in the new nursery.

Different accents will blend together.

"I love the mix of metal, raw wood, and white in this young boy's room," Joanna said on Instagram. The two compliment each other beautifully, and could work in any nursery setting. The soft wood gives warmth to the metal.

Shiplap — or some kind of wood wall finish — will definitely be part of the design.

... especially if it's a girl! In this room, Joanna used pink paint that had a hint of gray to keep the space from feeling too bright or vibrant. She, of course, made wooden wall details the main focus — this time with scalloped edging.

But we probably won't see pink or blue as the main color.

Chances are, Joanna will want to keep the room gender neutral, so she may she may opt for a space like this gray room with blue and green mixed in the color.

If fact, her own children have rooms that are pretty neutral. In the boys' room, Drake, 12, and Duke, 8, have custom-made bunk beds set against a mostly white-and-black palette.

And the same goes for her daughters' (Ella Rose, 9, and Emmie Kay, 7) room. It screams feminine, but the airy space is mostly neutral, featuring white, gray, and beige. The exception is the colorful doll houses that sit on the galvanized metal trays that serve as their nightstands.

Even though we can't definitely say Chip and JoJo's new baby room will truly look like, we can say the space is bound to be very Fixer-Upper-style no matter what she decides.
