Chef and travel host Anthony Bourdain was found dead in a Paris hotel room Friday, CNN confirmed. The cause of death was suicide. Bourdain is survived by his 11-year-old daughter, Ariane Bourdain.

Celebrities and friends of Bourdain are mourning the loss of a talented storyteller, chef, and humanitarian.

"My friend..I know you are on a Ferry going to somewhere amazing."

His partner, Asia Argento, issued a statement, calling Bourdain "my love, my rock, my protector."

"Tony was a symphony. I wish everyone could have seen all of him. A true friend."

"He brought the world into our homes and inspired so many people to explore cultures and cities through their food."

"My heart is with you, wherever you are. Sending strength to your daughter."

Former President Barack Obama, who dined with Bourdain in Hanoi, Vietnam, paid his respects to the late chef.

"We have lost one of the greatest storytellers in the world Anthony Bourdain."

CNN issued an official statement for their friend and colleague. Bourdain was working on a CNN show, Parts Unknown, at the time of his death.

Rose McGowan posted a heartbreaking video pleading Bourdain to come back.

While Amber Tamblyn reminded people to lift up Bourdain's girlfriend, Asia Argento.

"I am truly stunned and lost."

"So heartbroken to hear about Anthony Bourdain."

"We have to help those who cannot help themselves."

Teigen called Bourdain one of her idols, and thanked him for making food so exciting.

"Thank you for opening our eyes to parts of the world both cherished and unknown."
