The happiest place on earth really only has one downside: the lines. And while there's not much the Disney gurus can do when it comes to your Space Mountain wait, there's an easy fix to on-the-go eating, and Disney just made it happen.
Visitors to Disneyland Resort can now use a mobile ordering app to pre-order food from 15 locations across Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, with more restaurants coming soon. Think about it: You're waiting in line for Soarin' Around The World when your crew starts to get hangry. Rather than suffer a 30-minute line after your turn on the ride, you can now order your food in line and set a time to pick it up. Take your adrenaline rush straight to the restaurant, grab your food, and keep on going.Traveling to Disney with kids just got a heck of a lot more peaceful.
For now, these quick-service restaurants accept mobile orders:
Disneyland
- Bengal Barbecue
- Galactic Grill (home to the cosmic blue Galactic Slush!)
- Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor
- Hungry Bear Restaurant (three words: Churro Funnel Cake)
- Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe
- Red Rose Tavern
Disney California Adventure Park
- Award Wiener
- Clarabelle's Hand Scooped Ice Cream (so many sundaes!)
- Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill
- Corn Dog Castle
- Flo's V8 Cafe
- Lucky Fortune Cookery
- Pacific Wharf Cafe
- Paradise Garden Grill (try the Mexican Hot Chocolate in the winter)
- Smokejumpers Grill
Annual passholders can link the app to their account to receive discounts on food, too. Note that the app takes credit or debit cards, but not gift cards, so if you've been stockpiling any of those, you'll have to wait in the normal line.
