Update, 5/18/2018: We can all breathe a sigh of relief. Matt Roloff has finally addressed rumors that he and girlfriend Caryn Chandler broke up.
On one of Matt's latest Instagram posts, a fan reached out and asked point blank if the two had ended their relationship, to which Matt responded: "No, it's fake news. We did not break up :)."
Rumors started circulating earlier this week when a source reportedly told Radar Online that Caryn, who has worked at Roloff Farms for years, was no longer employed there. That still may be true, but the reason behind it clearly isn't because she and Matt broke up.
Phew.
Original, 5/15/2018: Could there be heartbreak on Roloff Farms?
According to Radar Online, Matt Roloff's girlfriend Caryn Chandler is no longer working on the property. Apparently, a "farm insider" said that Caryn, who had been an assistant to the Roloffs for years, is not working for the family at all.
Yikes!
If true, the news is kind of shocking, especially after Matt declared how essential his girlfriend is to everyday operations. "Caryn is instrumental in running pumpkin season, she’s run it for 10 years," Matt admitted this season on Little People, Big World. "She tries to get Amy as involved as she can. There was awkwardness a little bit, but we’re all kind of finding our way."
At first, we thought this could mean things got too uncomfortable for Amy and Caryn, and Caryn decided to find a new job. Totally understandable.
But then people noticed that Matt unfollowed Caryn on Instagram, which we all know is a true testament to the status of a relationship. Caryn still follows Matt, and some of Matt's kids still follow Caryn.
He also hasn't posted a photo of him and Caryn since March, which feels like forever ago. She was also noticeably absent during Matt's grandson Jackson's birthday party this past weekend. But his profile photo is still of him and her — WHAT IS GOING ON?!
Naturally, people had a lot to say about this whole thing, with fans thinking perhaps they didn't really break up, but rather Amy didn't want Caryn on the farm anymore. "Caryn said if Amy didn't want her to come around any more [she wouldn't]," one person wrote on Facebook.
Another said that they saw tensions rise this season between the couple, so they could really be over. "Matt is still a homebody. Caryn tried to get Matt to go out more and it did not really work."
Well, regardless if the rumors are true or not, we wish the best for Matt, Amy, and the whole Roloff crew!
