If your New York sightseeing tour involved discreetly creeping through Park Slope, Brooklyn, hoping you'd catch a glimpse of Emily Blunt or John Krasinski as they hit up their corner bodega for coffee, you're going to be disappointed. The Quiet Place stars recently put their townhouse on the market — and sold it just a month and a half later, for a reported $6.5 million.
That's a full $1.5 mil under their original asking price, but the place isn't a money pit by any means. The couple bought it in 2016 for $6 million, so they are coming out ahead, even after the $300,000 in renovations they poured into it, according to StreetEasy.
It's not that they didn't love the space, either. It's just that they're always on the go (ah, the life of an international celebrity) and realized they didn't have time to actually enjoy it.
"We've been nomads for a while now, but that's the nature of our business," Krasinski told the Wall Street Journal. "The house is so special — someone who can spend every night there should have it."
The four-story house features seven bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, a backyard, and a terrace. As you'll see, it's the ultimate old-meets-new, modern-meets-historic mix: You'll find stained glass windows and skylights, Curbed reports, along with heated wood floors and a very of-the-moment white kitchen with antique brass hardware.
We can see why Blunt and Krasinski had a hard time parting with it.
